This is built on the movie in Chapter 11. There is a new dynamic text filed in the Gulf of Mexico. An action in frame 1 loads the file "gulf.txt" to populate the dynamic text field.
More text features will be added on December 23 and this page will be updated.
Lessons Learned - HTML dynamic text shows the raw HTML tags if
you forget to check "render as HTML" in the properties of the dynamic
text field.
If you use a relative URL when loading the text file, it must be relative
to where the HTML document that contains the movie is located (not relative
to where the movie itself is located.
If you update the text file while
the Flash Movie is playing, you can watch the dynamic text field update
itself.
